Amanda lives in Melrose, MA and has worked as an accounting CPA at several large nonprofits including human services organizations and universities in the Greater Boston area. She earned her BA in theater from Smith College, worked for a decade in theater business administration on the Lower East Side and in Boston, and then obtained her MBA and MS in Accounting from Northeastern (where Amanda and Jessie met!). Amanda grew up in New York’s Hudson Valley among apple orchards and goat farms. She and her elementary-age daughter developed New England Orchard’s original apple butter recipe as a fall-time tradition, which over the years has grown into a business as almost everyone who tasted it wanted to know where they could buy more or give it as gifts. Food is love <3.

Jessie lives in Watertown, MA and has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and been drawn towards the world of innovation and start-ups. After earning a B.A. in mathematics from Bucknell University, she opened her own café and ran it for four years. During this time, she gained invaluable experience in business operations, financial planning, sales, staff management, marketing and promotions, and events planning. She has managed over 80 employees, and planned over 200 events. Having served on various committees and then seeing a need for local business owners to have their own arena for discussions, she spearheaded a committee called, Owners-2-Owners. Besides her 15+ years in the restaurant industry, she also has professional experience in high net worth tax accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, budgeting, and office administration.
